If you don't like Cajun food, don't come here. Flavors of Louisiana captures everything I love in New Orleans. My personal favourite appetizers included; fried pickles, onion rings, and alligator. Some other notable mentions would be their Cajun fries and hush puppies. My friends weren't the biggest fan of their gumbo but my alligator was delicious. For dessert, I had the best banana pudding I've ever had. The little touches, all drinks are served in mason jars, make for an even better environment. We didn't wait long for our food! Arizona and Phoenix, generally, do not have many Cajun or real Creole food options. This is a hidden gem in the West Valley and is certainly a spot I would come to again when I'm missing étouffée. I think the beauty of the food is that there's nothing quite like it. You can make your food as spicy or as cheesy as you'd like. They even sell some sauces and other novelty items up at the front. The restaurant is a much more casual setting but I think it has its own little charm, in a way.

I have been to Taste of Louisiana several times over the years. The last time I was at Taste of Louisiana (TL), the food was mediocre at best. But my "cajun" craving pulled me back to TL. Since last time, they have moved and reduced the seating. They also updated the walls, etc. I ordered the seafood gumbo. It was good, but I saw no oysters in the gumbo. My go-to cajun food is crawfish etouffee. However, I ordered it with the inclusion of catfish strips. WOW! The Etouffee was excellent, but I was surprised at how well the catfish tasted. They had the right amount of seasoning in a light corn flour coating. The fish was fresh and adequately prepared to avoid the "fishy" taste. The service was excellent. Since my last visit, they have improved. I highly recommend a visit if you want good Cajun/creole food. Let's support our local restauranteurs.

Authentic ! Feels like Louisiana inside, the people working here know what they are doing because the food is amazing. I got the shrimp and gator Po boys 6 inches each with fried green tomatoes and iced tea. Oh boy was I impressed, I had been craving food like this for a while and it definitely satisfied my craving. Probably the best Po boy on the west coast. The gator and shrimp were sooo good, so much flavor in the batter and good quality proteins. Even the veggies and the roll all tasted so fresh complemented by a good sauce. I added some hot sauce to mine and it elevated mine even more. You have to try this place

I haven't been here for a while but we decided to come here for a small family get together. Everything was absolutely delicious! Everyone loved the food, it's full of flavor and the hospitality is amazing! They really take care of the customers and even though we waited maybe 30 minutes for our food which was ok bc you're getting it fresh! I highly recommend this place. It has a very welcoming atmosphere and it's nicely decorated with the whole New Orleans feel. We will be back! It's a must if you're in this area!

Great food! I order the dunken catfish every time I go. The fish is fried and seasoned to perfection. The crawfish etouffee on top rivals any you would have in the south. You don't get much "service" you order and they bring out out- that's it. Biggest drawback is they don't have beer/alcohol and they use tap water which is horrible. The food is so good that I overlook the lack of drink options. They do have lemonade but it's clearly made with the same tap water and you can taste it. It's been awhile since I've been back so hopefully they've made a change there. The restaurant is always clean and the staff is always friendly. This is the best creole/cajun food you will find anywhere near Phoenix.

I came in early afternoon on a Saturday. There were ample parking spots with a few shades options in front. I was immediately greeted by a friendly hostess who escorted me to my table. I ordered the seafood gumbo and it was very enjoyable. It was refreshing having a gumbo option that did not have pork. I also ordered the Jolie Blon. It was a nice size portion for a lunch option. The sauce and the snapper were my favorite part. I love crawfish but I wasn't a big fan of it in the dish. I have been thinking about that gumbo and will be back very soon for it.
